2011 saw the popularity of tumblr.com rise. I first saw tumblr in 2010 but it wasn't anything I was interested in at all. It just seemed like a whole lot of photos on a webpage and there was random writing saying reblogged. It didn't make sense and I had no interest. Come 2011 when my sister gets her own page and I finally saw how tumblr.com actually works.

From a bloggers perspective I find tumblr to be a blogging platfrom that allows you to easily share anything with anyone.


So tumblr is easy ... that doesn't mean anyone and everyone should use it.
I tried to use tumblr but it just did not work out for me. I had an idea of what would be on my tumblr and how it would look but how something looks in your mind is not how it turns out to look on the internet. Sadly my time with tumblr ended. Maybe when I have the right equipment and mindset I'll start again. So let's rather look at tumblrs that are successful.

The tumblr which features quotes from musicians, singers, designers and anyone who had ever said anything great has become very popular amongst lovers of pop culture.
Unfortunately like all great things there are many replicas. To save them from embarrassment I have decided not to mention them in this blog.

All in all I think tumblr is more of a social network where creative people come together and share their favourite things. The most successful tumblrs are obviously the most original such as Kush And Wizdom, Awesome People Hanging Out Together, and Dear Photograph. In order to have a successful personal or corporate tumblr, it needs to be a direct illustration of what the person/company presents.
