I have always loved Pringle. I love how every year it remains simple but stays in line with trends. This collection is clean and an illustration of what Pringle has communicated to us over the years. It also has a very 90s feel to it as well which is on trend at the moment. Coats, knits, jackets, tunics, platforms and prints were the order of the day at the resort collection.

Pringle usually tries to play it safe when it comes to print and patterns on their clothing but this year they added tasteful graphics that make the clothes younger. The best thing about this collection is that there is something for anyone and everyone. A whole family of different tastes can dress from this collection.

The whole collection may be iconic Pringle, but the shoes have a life of their own. The sleek white and black platforms are what change the outfit and make it more young and the printed shoes make the outfits even younger!

Oscar de la Renta

“Making clothes.” That was Oscar de la Renta’s response when asked what he was thinking about for resort 2013. - American Vogue

Photographs by Alesandro Somma
This is a holiday I'd like to be on. In terms of colour, it was very bland at first. You wouldn't be wearing these clothes to your Bora Bora vacation, well maybe on the plane.
With all the black and white, tweed and suits you would think this was a Chanel show if you did not know better. But once the show turns to colour, it becomes very Oscar de la Renta very quickly.

Erdem

Photographs by Boo George
Blue and all it's shades is the fashion colour of 2012 and Erdem has illustrated this in his collection. Adding the pink and purple to compliment the blue made the collection even more beautiful than what it already was. This is collection was made for royalty and women who wish they were royalty.

Prints are big this year and this collection was a clear example of the trend. The '90s inspired menswear look is also vaguely illustrated in this collection. All in all, it's a beautiful collection for any woman.

Burberry Prorsum

“sensual strictness" - Christopher Bailey

I could never deny Burberry. I don't even like the colour brown, but if it's Burberry Brown, I love it!
Once again Christopher Bailey has created an authentic and iconic Burberry collection. Shades of brown and grey made the collection suitable for any season and anyone.

I don't think this is the most versatile collection one would see. I had to add it because the clothes are lovely and it serves as inspiration to many young women. Not all of us can afford a Burberry coat so we need to sometimes look at other collections for inspiration. Band of Outsiders will always serve as inspiration for many.
